Decline of vitamin export in China On October 2019

According to the latest data from the customs, in October 2019, the total export volume of vitamins (excluding choline) in China was 16800 tons, down 4% month on month, down 19.4% year on year. Compared with last year, the export volume of calcium pantothenate and B12 from January to October 2019 decreased by 12% and 54% respectively year on year. The export volume of VA increased by 65% year on year, that of B1, B2 and VC increased by 18%, 24% and 11% year on year respectively, and that of ve decreased by 4% year on year. From January to October 2019, China's vitamin exports (excluding choline) totaled 219600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%. Due to the shortage of raw materials, the operation rate of domestic calcium pantothenate manufacturers was low. From January to October, China's calcium pantothenate exports were 11100 tons, a significant year-on-year decrease. The import of calcium pantothenate was 1138 tons, a year-on-year increase of 39%. In October 2019, the export volume of vitamin A in China was 239.69 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 23%. From January to October 2019, the cumulative export volume of vitamin A and derivatives in China reached 3766 tons, a year-on-year increase of 65%. From January to October 2019, China's export of vitamin A amounted to 377 million US dollars, with an average unit price of 57.54 US dollars / kg. In 2018, due to the price of VA over 1000, downstream enterprises reduced the amount of added vitamin A and reduced the inventory cycle. The export of vitamin A was affected. In October 2019, the export volume of vitamin E in China was 4638.6 tons, down 35% year on year; in January October 2019, the cumulative export volume of vitamin E and derivatives reached 58400 tons, down 4% year on year. From January to October 2019, the export value of China's ve products was 355 million US dollars, with an average unit price of 6.34 US dollars / kg, up 10% year on year. In the first half of 2019, the export volume of vitamin E in China was 38800 tons, an increase of 11.8% year on year. In the second half of 2019, the export volume dropped. From January to October 2019, Germany, the United States and the Netherlands were the top three export countries of vitamin E in China, with export volume of 15300 tons to Germany, 15000 tons to the United States and 7265 tons to the Netherlands respectively, among which the export volume to the United States decreased by 12.7% year on year.
